In this very first post we want to introduce ourselves and explain a bit why this blog has been created. We are Gonzalez Sastre S.C.P., a law firm in Asturias, in the north of Spain. Among the many services we offer to our customers, one of them is to assist in the transfer of properties in Spain, and all related taxes.
With a constantly changing real estate market, it is important to stay up to date about legislative changes concerning the market. And that’s the purpose of this blog, keep you informed of all of them.
Why us?
We are independent lawyers and we have no agreements with construction and real estate agents, so our one and only interest is to satisfy our customers. To achieve this, first thing is build trust. And to build trust there is nothing like being transparent. Also, to to be transparent the best way is information.
In this Blog we’re going to write about all topics concerning real state market, properties in Spain, rights and obligations of both tenants and owners. We will analyse offers to discover which ones are good and which ones are not.
Why Spain?
Spain has been since always one of the preferred destinations for EU citizens, and there is a reason for that. Because of its privileged location in the south of the northern hemisphere, temperatures are relatively stable throughout the whole year. Most of the peninsula enjoys a Mediterranean climate, north of Spain however has an oceanic stable coastline climate, i.e. in the areas of Asturias and Cantabria, temperatures are stable all the year, oscillating just about 10ºC to 15ºC between Summer and Winter.
